"Something for the online cinephiles as Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol take their cult comedy web series and TV show to the hilarious max in this anarchic mockumentary spin-off, following two hapless bandmates perpetually trying to book a gig in Toronto.
When their plan to book a show at the Rivoli goes horribly wrong, friends Matt and Jay accidentally travel back to the year 2008 in A Back To The Future-style stunt has unexpected consequences. As every interaction threatens to impact their future selves, their only hope of getting back to the current era is to find a bottle of an obsolete soft drink. Irreverent and charming in equal measure, you won’t need to have seen the original series to be won over.
