Out There Fringe Fest returns to Exeter with more than 50 events of outrageous entertainment and talent across four weeks, following the award-winning success of its inaugural festival in 2024.

A FESTIVAL OF NATIONAL TALENT: The festival's EXTRAVAGANZA club night features by Danny Beard - one of the UK's best-known drag performers, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK Series 4 and runner-up on Celebrity Big Brother 2025. Joining Danny is Harrison, breakout DJ behind the viral rework of "All The Things She Said", which featured in the hit TV series Heated Rivalry.
The top tier line-up of national talent also includes Drag King Don One (Late Night Lycett), and two-time Fringe First Award winner Emma Frankland, with their acclaimed show No Apologies.
A FESTIVAL FOR SAFER SPACES: From lived experience to collective action. We're launching an Out There, Safer Together awareness campaign for safer, more inclusive nights out across Exeter. Anchored by SPIKED, Saraya Haddad's acclaimed one-woman show about being spiked. The campaign includes If I Speak, a free writing workshop for others to explore their own experiences.
A FESTIVAL FOR ALL: Accessibility and affordability are at the heart of the programme, featuring free activities, theatre tickets from £8, with pay-what-you-can options at selected events and free tickets for accessibility companions. We're proud to work with community partners to represent people with learning disabilities, while selected events features BSL interpretation.
A FESTIVAL OF OPPORTUNITY: Thanks to public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England, the festival gives local people opportunities to get creative through participatory workshops and cultural experiences, and a chance to perform with London cabaret, EastBenders.
CROSS-PROGRAMMING: Alongside its core programme, Out There Fringe Fest brings together events from across Exeter's LGBTQ+ community. We work alongside local artists, community groups and venues to showcase the city's wider queer culture scene.
Out There Fringe Fest is funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and Devon County Council's Places To Go Things To Do Fund. We are proudly supported by our venue partner Live @ Exeter, our community partner Princesshay Exeter, and a host of local venues and organisations including Exeter Phoenix, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Exeter Barnfield Theatre, and Exeter Library.
