The Bookery is thrilled to welcome back bestselling Devon crime writer Stephanie Austin for a special festive afternoon celebrating the launch of her latest novel, A Dartmoor Christmas Card Murder .
This free ticketed event will give readers the opportunity to meet Stephanie, hear readings from her brand-new Christmas mystery, chat with the author about her writing, and have copies personally signed. To add an extra touch of festive magic, The Bookery's wonderful team of volunteers will be offering free gift wrapping for copies of A Dartmoor Christmas Card Murder .
Stephanie Austins successful Devon Mysteries goes from strength to strength. This latest instalment of rural cosy crime adds a Christmas spin on Juno Brownes amateur detecting, as someone in Ashburtondefinitely doesnthave peace on earth and goodwill to all on their mind. Bestselling romantic author Tiffany Dare has thousands of adoring fans worldwide. Closer to home, somebody wants her dead and is choosing to send her threats in Christmas cards. With the festive season fast approaching, local amateur sleuth Juno Browne is asked to investigate these seasons greetings that carry anything but good cheer, and while the police focus their attention on stalkers and on-line trolls, Juno suspects the culprit may be a member of Tiffanys inner circle.
The celebrations will continue after the event when Stephanie leaves The Bookery to join Crediton Town Council's Christmas Lights Switch-On celebrations in the Market Square. As the Council's special guest of honour, she will officially switch on the town's Christmas lights, helping launch Crediton's festive season before what is expected to be a large community gathering.
Stephanie Austinhas enjoyed a varied career as an artist, antiques trader and member of the Devon Schools Library Service. Alongside her successful writing career, she remains actively involved in amateur theatre as a director and actor and continues to draw inspiration from life in Devon.
