Word Kitchen's showcase for prose writing returns with a chance for writers at any stage to read from their writing, both published and unpublished.
Bring flash fiction, short stories, novel extracts or pieces of memoir writing to the mic. It's a chance to hear work from accomplished authors and fresh voices in a range of genres and styles. We also welcome people who want to come and just listen to writers showcasing their work.
Reading spots are booked in advance via David Lloyd at sidmouthdavid@outlook.com
We meet in the Phoenix bar beforehand and there will also be an interval for networking. David Lloyd and Pippa Marriott look forward to welcoming you.
This is what some of our writers say:
Always interesting and inspiring, and such a great opportunity to chat to other writers and readers."
"I've always wanted to dare to read at an open mic and this is the perfect place to start - such a welcoming bunch and appreciative audience!"
