Fresh from the fryer of the UK's Deep South, we present Southern Fried Groove Queens’ debut EP release
launch party. Devon’s spicy blues duo will be playing ‘That’s when the blues begins’ in full, alongside a deep
dive into music from the Mississippi Delta that inspired them.
One for fans of Authentic Southern Style Blues!
Formed in 2021, predicated on a chance meeting between blues enthusiasts Lee Hall & Lucy Piper, they’ve
played many of the UK's leading Blues festivals, earning a reputation for their well honed infectious boogie.
Using a traditional recipe passed down through generations, they provide fiery delectable grooves that will
make you want to get down!
A review by Mid Wales RnB Club described the band; "Lee and Lucy play together brilliantly, with amazing and
irrepressible energy, displaying an uncanny ability to follow one another’s moves. They manage to take some
of the absolute all-time blues standards, and reinterpret them in their own up-tempo style, whilst never
compromising the authenticity of the originals."
With Lee’s unique, soulful & haunting’ vocal, spicy guitar playing alongside Lucy’s hypnotic drumming, be
prepared to 'juke' with them!
