"Hands are one of the most challenging subjects in art. This focused 5-week course is designed to help artists of all levels improve their hand-drawing skills. Your tutor, artist Ludmila Centurión Segovia will guide you through drawing exercises, and practical techniques. You will use graphite and sanguine pencils, white and black charcoal, colour pencils as well as soft and oil pastels plus mix media.
You’ll learn how to observe the changes in shape, texture and light created with different hand positions and gestures and explore the symbolism expressed through the depiction of hands.
During the course you will be encouraged to experiment with different compositions helping you to finding your own style. At the end of the course, we'll showcase all the explorations and exchange positive feedback.
