The Harry Dowell Group brings the best of the post-bop and contemporary jazz genres - blending toe-tapping groove, dynamic interplay and touches of sophistication, virtuosity, and sensitivity.
Leading the group is "legend of the jazz scene" Harry Dowell - Exeter-based tenor saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. He has developed his style working with artists such as Lack of Afro, Mac Adams, and Jonah Hitchens, and has become known for his thoughtful yet complex improvising and rich, balanced tone. Harry is a mainstay on the south west's jazz scene, and has led groups at jazz clubs and festivals from St. Ives to Bristol.
Together with Ozzie Parker (keyboard), Frazer Kerslake (bass) and Josh Rose (drums), the group will be showcasing new compositions and putting their stamp on jazz standards and tunes from artists that defined the post-bop sound. This gig won't be one to miss!
