The Invite

About

A dinner party. Joe and Angela’s marriage is on thin ice. A few awkward questions. More honesty than anyone bargained for. The Invite stars Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton in a witty, insightful comedy about relationships, desire and the unexpected consequences of telling the truth. “The funniest movie of the year”: The New York Post

What begins as a friendly dinner invitation soon becomes an evening of uncomfortable truths in The Invite, a sharp and sophisticated comedy directed by Olivia Wilde. Starring Wilde alongside Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton, the film explores the messy realities of modern relationships, desire and commitment. Adapted from the acclaimed Spanish comedy The People Upstairs, this witty ensemble piece balances laugh-out-loud humour with moments of surprising honesty. Acclaimed by critics for its intelligence and insight, it is a smart, grown-up comedy with plenty to say about love, sex and the secrets we keep.
