A story as old as time, Shakespeare’s tale of love and tragedy takes to the stage at Exeter Northcott Theatre this month.
The Northcott’s first Shakespeare play in over decade, featuring professional actors alongside an ensemble of local dancers, Romeo & Juliet needs little introduction.
Love, war, and escapism, the play powerfully brings home the inescapable truth that a peaceful world can only be achieved through compassion, love and understanding.
Cast
The brilliant cast will breathe new life and energy into the classic story, making it a powerful and unmissable production for every generation.
Actor-musician and singer/songwriter Madison Grace will play Juliet opposite Izzie Harding-Perrott as Romeo. Exeter-based Jodie Micciché will play the Nurse and Tybalt, returning to Exeter Northcott after her beloved performances in the theatre’s last three pantomimes. Lady Capulet and Benvolio will be played by Imogen Frances, who began their acting journey as a member of the Northcott Young Company. Taraash Mehrotra will play Mercutio and the Friar while the Prince and Paris will be played by recent Bristol Old Vic Theatre School graduate, Nuhazet Diaz-Cano.
Soundtrack
Romeo & Juliet for a new generation of theatre goers, the 90s-inspired score features the likes of Billie Eilish and Little Simz alongside The Prodigy, Muse, Dr Dre and The Chemical Brothers.
