A visit to Exeter is a must for footie fans of all ages. Exeter City FC have just been promoted to League One, so don't miss the opportunity to see them play at their home ground of St James Park. The stadium is located within the city centre, just a few minutes walk from Exeter's main shopping and dining areas, offering the perfect opportunity to make a day - or even a weekend of it!
A visit to the football is a great family day out - the Junior Grecians family zone is open on matchdays an hour and a half before kick-off, and provides a safe, comfortable environment for families to enjoy pre-match entertainment, with large screen TVs, video game consoles and table football!
There is also a good choice of refreshments on offer at the stadium, including the Exeter City Real Ale and Cider Emporium, offering a great selection of real ales and ciders. Check out the upcoming football fixtures here.
After the match, head into Exeter city centre for a post-game analysis over dinner! Exeter has a wide range of restaurants to choose from, whether you fancy cuisines from around the world at some of the city's big name eateries in Princesshay or Queen St Dining, or to try some of the best local Devon produce at one of Exeter's independent restaurants.
