Exeter Little Theatre Company

About

Exeter Little Theatre Company (ELTC) is one of Exeter's most spirited and welcoming theatre societies - a place where community, creativity, and a good dose of backstage laughter come together.

Founded in 1954, ELTC has grown into a buzzing hub for anyone who loves performing, building, designing, or simply being part of a friendly theatre family. From it's city centre hub, complete with workshops, wardrobe rooms and a full-scale rehearsal space, members come together to create bold, joyful and high-quality productions for the Exeter theatre stage. The city-centre premises are also available to hire for anyone looking for a rehearsal or meeting space, making ELTC a hub for creativity in the community.

ELTC isn't afraid to take on big, colourful crowd-pleasers. In recent years the company has delighted audiences with hit shows such as Kinky Boots, Elf the Musical, and Little Shop of Horrors - all of which were nominated for local theatre awards. Whether you love spectacular musicals, quirky comedies, family pantomimes or classic plays, ELTC offers something for everyone, both onstage and off.

The fun doesn't stop with the adults. The company's vibrant Youth Company gives young performers the chance to explore acting, improv, writing, directing and more. Many go on to appear in ELTC's main-stage productions, gaining real performance experience in a friendly, supportive environment.

As a registered charity run by volunteers, ELTC thrives on enthusiasm and community spirit. You don't need experience to join - just curiosity, energy, and a love for theatre. Whether you want to act, build sets, sew costumes, help backstage or enjoy a monthly social, you'll find a warm welcome.

And of course, if you're not ready to tread the boards, there's one simple way to support local theatre - come and watch our shows! Your applause helps keep Exeter's creative culture thriving.
