About

Sound Gallery Studios is a professional recording studio situated at Exeter Phoenix in the cultural heart of the city.
Sound Gallery was established in 2008 and since then the studio has a reputation as one of the most productive and well-equipped
recording studios in Devon boasting in its client list hundreds of local bands, singer songwriters, high profile musicians, record labels, voiceover artists, arts, organisations and commercial businesses.

The recording studio provides a unique fusion between analogue and state-of-the art digital technologies using industry standard systems: Pro Tools and Logic Pro.
The facilities include acoustically treated, sound-proofed and air-conditioned control room, live room, vocal booth and amp room.

Sound Gallery Studios also provide a highly specified Pro Tools recording facility for broadcast quality voiceovers. Recent clients include Fox Searchlight UK (Far from the Madding Crowd), RAMM, BBC The One Show (featuring Raphael Ravenscroft),

Sound Gallery provide inspirational and well maintained rehearsal spaces which can also be hired for vocal and instrument tuition and music workshops. Our studios are also available for filming purposes.

Sound Gallery Studios provide music technology courses which are designed to go beyond the nuts and bolts of software education and aim to inspire participants to create, record and produce their own music.

Sound Gallery run a work experience programme, especially designed for 14-18 year olds who are interested in pursuing a career in the music industry.

Sound Gallery host the Analogue to Digital Music Expo, a unique music technology show and run hungersleep records.

Sound Gallery is located in the lower ground floor at Exeter Phoenix which is situated on Gandy Street, next to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

From the High Street: walk down Gandy Street, turn right at the end and walk up the slope.

From the clock tower: walk down Queen Street with Exeter Central train station on your left, turn left after the museum and walk up the slope.

From Exeter library: turn right, at the bottom of the ramp turn right again at the bottom, and walk approx. 75 meters straight on.
