About

Following on from cycling the length and breadth of the UK on a concert tour title 'Good Again?' Viola da gamba player Sarah Small is en route to join Exeter based musician Emma Welton to present:

A Response:

A programme for violin and viola da gamba responding to the changing landscapes of the British Isles, exploring the connections between music, the natural environment and how we travel.

Featured works include Forqueray's La Girouette (weathervane), Sainte-Colombe's heart-wrenching Les Pleurs (tears), Hume's A Question and An Answer, and newly written pieces by both performers, including A Response: drawing on the experience of the Good Again? Tour.
