Claire Barker - Wish Sticks & Wild Wood Wonders
This half term, The Bookery invites children and families to a magical Halloween workshop with beloved author and illustrator Claire Barker, creator of H ettie Nettles Handbook for Hedgewitches.
Join us on Thursday 30th October from 2.30 to 4.30pm for a spellbinding afternoon of storytelling and creativity. Claire will share seasonal tales from Hetties magical Wild Wood, and guide children in making their very own Wish Sticka charming craft inspired by the enchanting world of hedgewitches and nature guardians.
Hettie Nettles Handbook for Hedgewitches is a month-by-month guide to the hidden world of the Wild Wood, filled with secrets, seasonal celebrations, spell work, and magical friends. With watercolour illustrations and whimsical wisdom, its a must-have for imaginative young readers who love nature and folklore.
Claire has also decorated our shop window with Hettie herself, bringing a touch of Wild Wood magic to the high street. She will be signing copies of her book during the event.
