Edward Tripp, Truth Pimp'- the Book Launch

About

Join Spork! & Edward Tripp for the much anticipated launch of his second poetry collection "Edward Tripp, Truth Pimp" at Exeter Library.
Edward will be joined by award winning stand-up Kev Mud, Cornwall Comedian of the year Mimi, and cult Exeter Poet Chris White.

About ed:
Edward Tripp is an award-winning stand-up poet, with a penchant for all things dark and surreal. A frequent performer on comedy and poetry stages alike, he's taken his work around the UK from Milk Poetry, to WOMAD Festival, and Just the Tonic at the Edinburgh Fringe. Whether screaming about spatulas or soliloquising about Uncle Connor "who isn't in the IRA," Ed's an always hilarious, prop-heavy and provocative performer.

'I like reading Edward because I'm not sure where his mind will take me, but I know I am happy to go there' - Robin Ince, Comedian and Broadcaster

Utterly unexpectable and very moreish' - Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

'Ed is wildly inventive and original' - Josie Long, Comedian and Writer

'A roaring fire of absurd wit' - Corr Blimey

'Seek Ed out like buried treasure'- Spencer Jones, Comedian and Actor

Doors open at 6.30pm, event starts at 7pm. There will be signed copies of Ed's book available to buy

This event will take place in the cafe/foyer of Exeter Library on the ground floor, which is fully wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet on the 2nd floor via lift or stairs. There will be a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks. Age recommendation 18+ for strong language and some adult humour.
