In this version, there are no fairy godmothers or glass slippers. Instead, a philosopher, a case of mistaken identity (the Prince Don Ramiro and his valet swap roles!), and a simple bracelet help a kind-hearted heroine named Angelina find her true destiny. This is a Cinderella for all ages, focusing on inner beauty, kindness, and the triumph of a good heart over vanity.

With its famous "coloratura fireworks," complex ensembles (like the knotty "Questo è un nodo avviluppato"), and the triumphant final aria "Non più mesta," La Cenerentola is a treat for any opera lover.
