Jest for Men: Comedy Night Alright Mate? Festival
Join us for a night of stand-up from the brilliant men of Jest for Men, hosted by comedian Edward Tripp.
Jest for Men began as a six-week stand-up comedy course led by acclaimed comedian and comedy educator Angie Belcher, inviting men from across Devon to turn their own lives and experiences into comedy. Along the way, they developed their writing and performance skills, built confidence and discovered comedy as a way to connect with others.
Now they're taking to the stage. Come along for an evening of original stand-up, personal stories and plenty of laughs, celebrating these performers who stepped outside their comfort zones and gave comedy a go.
This event is part of the Alright Mate? Festival, a programme of creative and social events opening up conversations around men's mental health and wellbeing as part of the wider Movember campaign. You'll see plenty of conversation around men's mental health online throughout Movember, but these events offer a chance to experience that conversation in person, meet others and make it feel a little more real.
About Alright Mate?
Alright Mate? is a Devon-based community interest company using creativity to create spaces where men can connect, talk openly and feel less alone.
