On New Years Eve of 1922, a small group of friends had enjoyed the illicit party atmosphere in the speakeasies and mansions amongst the wealthy of New York but the group that came back from that break were very different from the group that went. Something had happened which they preferred not to talk about. If New York was ever mentioned, they went silent, and an air of dread filled the room.
Now, after each receiving New Years Eve invitations from an unknown source, they found themselves exactly one year later at the theatre in Exeter. Surely now would be a good time to see if they could lay the ghosts that had haunted them since their trip to the USA last year. Surely back here in the UK they had nothing to worry about.
Everything seemed to be going well until a series of events brought back dreadful memories of that trip to New York. Had something followed them back, or was someone manipulating their fears to commit murder?
All the clues will be there to solve the mystery, but will they be correctly deduced?
The investigator, together with the other guests, is determined to get to the truth.
