A growing movement is pushing back against the fences that divide people from nature and demanding greater access to the countryside in England. Through bold mass trespasses, Right to Roam activists collide head-on with country landowners who insist they are the true stewards of the land. Weaving together past and present, the film exposes the deep-rooted tensions between public access, private ownership and environmental stewardship. Passions run high as this documentary gives space to both campaigners fighting for freedom of access and landowners defending their vision of protection and responsibility. Our Land poses a fundamental question for our time: who does the land really belong to?
