It's 1957, the sun is shining, the beach is packed and Britain is being told "You've never had it so good!" But down at the seaside, things are about to get wonderfully out of hand.
There are suspicious goings-on in the beach huts, Punch & Judy have mysteriously disappeared, somebody is definitely up to no good and the once-glorious End of the Pier Show is fighting to survive. With a colourful cast of seaside characters, plenty of laughs and more than a little chaos, Seaside Rendezvous brings a lost world of British holidays roaring back to life.
Set at a turning point between the traditional seaside pleasures of the 1950s and the fast-changing world of the swinging sixties, this lively new production celebrates deckchairs, pier shows, seaside entertainment and the eccentric characters who made the British coast so unforgettable.
Funny, nostalgic and full of energy, Seaside Rendezvous is a joyful trip back to a summer when everything seemed possible - and nothing went quite according to plan.
