Dawlish Repertory Company are back this January with a traditional family pantomime, presenting Dick Whittington in a fresh and delightfully chaotic new version written by Paula Smith.
Follow young Dick Whittington and his hilarious, rat-bashing sidekick Puss as they set off for London to seek their fortune. But with romance in the air and a rat-infested underworld lurking beneath the city streets, this pantomime hero has more than his career to worry about. Guided (loosely) by the well-meaning Fairy Hells Bells, Dick and his ragtag crew are soon swept up in a treasure-hunting adventure that takes them far beyond anything they bargained for, all the way to the sun-soaked shores of a tropical island.
Expect high-energy musical numbers, hilarious slapstick, and gleeful fourth-wall-breaking chaos from start to finish. Youll fall in love with the outrageous Dame Fanny Haddock and the wonderfully clueless Idle Jack as they blunder from one disaster to the next, with mayhem in store.
Packed with warm humour, wonderfully eccentric characters, and show-stopping fun, this panto guarantees non-stop family fun for all ages.
