A Considerate Societyevent produced by Art Work Exeter

Join yoga therapist and teacher Sonia Rashid and artist activist Yara El-Sherbini as they host a conversation salon to consider the relationship between hospitality and solidarity. They will be serving tea, blended in a Solidaritea workshop with some of Exeters women activists.

Taking inspiration from local and international Salon culture of the past and present, The Considerate Society [https://artworkexeter.org.uk/projects/the-considerate-society/]will convene 6 artist and community-led gatherings over the weekend of 26th-28th June. Each event has been carefully designed to consider some of the pressing themes and questions that have arisen during Art Work Exeters time as cultural partners atExeter Custom House. [https://artworkexeter.org.uk/custom-house-residency/] This exciting weekend takeover invites local people from all walks of life to come together through good hospitality and cultural celebration, to consider some of the things that really matter to us.

This event is Free to attend but we will gladly accept donations on the door.

Each salon is offered with a Pay What You Can/ Donation admission, ensuring they are accessible while offering you the opportunity to directly support the artists and production company, which is not-for-profit.

Children are very welcome to attend with you, although the event is aimed at an adult audience.

Herbal teas will be served as a part of this event, with sesame/ wheat biscuits. Please inform us if you have any allergies that we should be aware of that would prevent you from attending.
