A Considerate Society event produced by Art Work Exeter
Join Nadia Lewis-Gorton and friends to share your views from a make-shift veranda in front of the Custom House. Everyone will be welcome at any time during the session, enjoy a Jamaican sorrel drink (non-alcoholic version)and help us consider the relationship between private and civic life.
Taking inspiration from local and international Salon culture of the past and present, The Considerate Society [https://artworkexeter.org.uk/projects/the-considerate-society/]will convene 6 artist and community-led gatherings over the weekend of 26th-28th June. Each event has been carefully designed to consider some of the pressing themes and questions that have arisen during Art Work Exeters time as cultural partners atExeter Custom House. [https://artworkexeter.org.uk/custom-house-residency/] This exciting weekend takeover invites local people from all walks of life to come together through good hospitality and cultural celebration, to consider some of the things that really matter to us.
This event is Free to attend but we will gladly accept donations.
Each salon is offered with a Pay What You Can/ Donation admission, ensuring they are accessible while offering you the opportunity to directly support the artists and production company, which is not-for-profit.
Coffee and tea will be served as a part of this event, with wheat biscuits. Please inform us if you have any allergies that we should be aware of that would prevent you from attending.
