Were running 3 free, inclusive drama sessions for young people at Exeter Library on 30 May, 13 June & 27 June.
These fun-filled and accessible sessions are funded by the RagDoll Foundation and led by Starlings, an inclusive drama project by Troubadour Theatre. This is a taster series, with the aim of hopefully launching regular sessions in the future.
Workshops are open to children and young people with additional needs, their siblings, and others from the community.
As well as being creative and fun, the sessions help to:
* build confidence
* improve communication
* develop emotional resilience
* encourage understanding, inclusivity and connection
Sessions run from 2pm and last up to 90 mins, taking place in the Rougemont Room at Exeter Library, located on the 2nd floor and accessible via lift. Parents and carers are welcome to stay for the whole session or step out, but must remain in the building
Please book 1 ticket for each child attending, and make sure to book in advance for as many sessions as you'd like to attend. (Coming to all 3 is recommended but not essential) For all 3 workshops, click here [https://www.ticketsource.com/whats-on/exeter/exeter-library]
For any questions about access or suitability please contact us: exeter.library@librariesunlimited.org.uk
About Starlings
Starlings is an inclusive, child-led drama and arts programme where young people shape the sessions, share ideas, and explore creativity in their own wayno pressure, just participation and imagination.
Families consistently tell us how valuable truly inclusive spaces like this are, where young people of all abilities can take part, feel heard, and enjoy creating together.
L gets so much out of the group he gets very excited whenever we mention Starlings. Hes usually quite reserved, so its lovely to see him joining in and engaging with everyone. Parent of a previous participant
