Steampunk Yule Ball

About

A Winter Festival of Fantastical Delight

Dust off your goggles, fire up the flux capacitor, and prepare for a night of chronological chaos, festive enchantment, and mechanical mischief! The Steampunk Yule Ball is back — and this year, we’re inviting you to step through the folds of time itself at the Time Travellers’ Ball.

Will you arrive as a Victorian villain, a futuristic dandy, a post-apocalyptic explorer, or a glitter-drenched chronomancer? Wherever (or whenever) you’re from, all are welcome for an unforgettable night of music, performance, and Yuletide mayhem at Exeter’s biggest alternative winter celebration.

Featuring:

* The legendary Professor Elemental — chap hop comedy, absurdity & rhyme
* The mysterious & magical Fey Pink
* Live music, DJ sets, immersive performance
* Couture, crafts, creatures, curiosities

…and much more to be announced

PROFESSOR ELEMENTAL

Internationally beloved chap-hop emcee, adventurer, and whimsical wordsmith, the good Professor brings high-energy freestyle, musical tales, and plenty of tea-fuelled absurdity.

FEY PINK

Anarchic cabaret, spellbinding vocals and poetic punk heart — Fey Pink conjures wild energy and soulful song in one unforgettable performance.

THE GASLIGHT TROUBADOURS

Step into a haunted parlour of twisted electro-swing, vintage samples, and mysterious beats. The Gaslight Troubadours are dark cabaret sorcerers of sound.

PROFESSOR PURBLIND

The shadowy mastermind behind The Gaslight Troubadours, Professor Purblind is a musical conjurer and vintage beat sorcerer. Expect theatrical flair, sonic illusions, and an immersive dose of steampunked sound design – from the man pulling the levers behind the curtain.

VICTOR VECTOR

Time-traveling turntablist and vinyl alchemist, Victor Vector bends time with every scratch and spin. Expect a high-energy journey through funky breaks, retro-futurist rhythms, and steampunk-infused soundscapes — all cut live on the decks with masterful precision.

THE MIRORIM

The Mirorim is a singer/songwriter weaving sonic spells under the influence of Midnight, Magic, Mystery, Melancholy, and The Muse. With haunting vocals, ethereal lyrics, and ritualistic stage presence, The Mirorim transports listeners to liminal realms where time unravels and emotion reigns.

MYSTERY GUEST (FOR NOW – WINK WINK)

We can’t say too much just yet… but one artist will be revealed later in the year who’s known for packing out venues with lyrical fire and wild wordplay. Stay tuned for the reveal – this one’s worth the wait.

DEVIL’S DOORBELL

Floating in from the waterways on their traditional narrowboats, Devil’s Doorbell are vintage skiffle cabaret troubadours with a cheeky twist. Blending infectious 1920s–30s jazz and blues with homemade instruments, ukuleles, washtub bass, and wild costumery, this high-energy duo deliver toe-tapping tunes and theatrical flair. Expect sass, swing, and a whole lot of fun.

KIARA LEIGH

Award-winning burlesque enchantress, Kiara Leigh mixes grace, power, and vintage glamour into breathtaking performance art pieces.

DJ LOUIE LOUIE

Retro-futurist grooves, balkan beats, and electro-swing bangers. Louie Louie is a time-hopping party machine.

DJ FARAMIX

Expect juicy bass, interdimensional rhythms and irresistible global sounds to take you to the dancefloor and beyond.

DRESS CODE

Come as your past self, future self, alternate reality self, or a completely fabulous figment of imagination. Steampunk couture, chrono-glamour, sci-fi rebels, clockwork queens and Victorian vampires all welcome. Prizes for best-dressed time travellers!
