Enjoy the awe-inspiring sound of the Cathedral’s magnificent organ as the evening sun reflects on the unparalleled architecture of the nave during our summer recital series. These concerts will feature some of the country’s leading players, performing a veritable feast of varied organ music, with a video-link to the organ loft, enabling the audience to see the magic unfold on the keys at close quarter.
Richard Moore is the Sub-Organist at Christ Church Cathedral. Richard read Music at St John’s College (Oxford), after which he took up a place the Royal College of Music, studying Organ with Professor David Graham and improvisation with Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin. He has also previously held the roles of Organ Scholar at St Paul’s Cathedral and Sub Organist at Guildford Cathedral. He holds the Soloist (Artist) Diploma of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and continues his organ studies with Bine Katrine Bryndorf.
