Super Mega Rockin' Rock ShowA rock gig for families
"The Mighty Boosh for kids" – Strike a Light Festival

All the best bits from Kid Carpet's anarchic family shows, mashed up and remixed to create the gig of the century.

Kid Carpet has earned himself an international reputation as a pioneer of catchy, lo-fi electro-pop music for over 10 years. Having released 5 albums, performed alongside acts like Arcade Fire and worked with cult film director Alex Cox, the much-loved musician has more recently turned his hand to live theatre.

Do you know how to rock out? Will you win the Grand Dance Contest or the Penguin Race? What noise does a Hedgehog make? And can you catch the floating sandwich?

This lively, interactive and entertaining show contains a unique mix of live music, performance, comedy, animation and ping pong balls. Classic tracks from Kid Carpet include: Gorilla, Poo in the Forest and Golden Eagle.

"I find a lot of work for children to be either very twee, over sweetened or super safe. I think that there is a place for something wilder which embraces the excited chaos of childhood. So I put a punk DIY attitude at the heart of my work for families" – Kid Carpet

"If you've got kids you must take them to see Kid Carpet, if you haven't got kids, borrow some and go anyway" – Audience member
