Swing Dance Classes

About

Welcome to Swing Exe!

Lindy Hop, Charleston and Solo Jazz dance class held weekly in the centre of Exeter. Our class is suitable for beginners and improvers. No partner required!

We dance a variety of dance styles from the 1920s, 30s and 40s with a focus on the Lindy Hop & Charleston. They’re fun, playful and energetic, allowing you to express your individuality and improvise to the music!

Lindy Hop is an African American dance that originated in Harlem, New York, in the late 1920s. It evolved from a variety of previous dance styles, including the Charleston, and features many influences from African dancing.
