The Witch of Wildwood returns this Halloween half term
From Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November, we welcome back the infamous Witch of Wildwood for a spellbinding week of howl-oween half term fun.
The Saxon Village will once again fall under the spell of the Witch, who may share some of her tricks with brave young witches and wizards.
The Saxon Villagers will also be on hand to share tales of England’s distant Anglo-Saxon past, when Halloween was celebrated as Samhain, and was a traditional Pagan festival marking the changing seasons – summer to winter, light to dark.
Wands & Broomsticks
As well as enjoying the company of the villagers, you can turn your hand to making your own magical wands and broomsticks.
Pumpkin Carving Competition
Mini witches and wizards are invited to put their pumpkin carving skills to the test by creating a stylish jack-o-lantern at home then bringing it with them to the park, to be in with the chance of winning an incredible up-close feeding experience with one of the most popular residents, Arctic Fox, Lyra.
The animals have been busy getting in the spooky spirit already with some tasty pumpkin treats and can’t wait to enjoy their very own Halloween haul when they get to enjoy a feast from the pumpkin entries submitted over half term.
Our howl-oween half-term spooktacular will run from Saturday 24 October – Sunday 1 November and will raise funds for the British wildlife charity’s conservation work.
Usual admission applies. Some activities entail a small cost for materials
