It's nearly time to dust off your Union Jack bunting and hats - Exeter's Jubilee Street Party is just around the corner! What's set to be a truly memorable occasion in the city, we've highlighted things we're looking forward to. Gather your family and friends and get in the patriotic spirit, we'll see you on Thursday 2nd June!

Fantastic family fun and activities

Bring the entire family to the Exeter Jubilee Street Party! Expect plenty of family fun from the Royal British Legion, SSAFA the Armed Forces charity, 13 Squadron Air Training Corps, Exeter Academy of Dance, Visit Exeter, CEDA, Exeter Live Better and Exeter City Community Trust. Which tent will you visit?

Upbeat live music

There will be plenty of opportunity to get up and have a dance about at Exeter's Jubilee Street Party. Expect music to fit the celebratory occasion from:

  • The Liberty Sisters (High Street)
  • The Footloose Four (High Street and Cathedral Green)
  • Chris Pope (High Street)
  • Exeter Railway Band (Bedford Street and also in Waterbeer Street)
  • Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Band
  • Exeter Jazz Orchestra (in front of the former Debenhams building opposite Princesshay Square)

Picture-perfect picnic locations

Bring your own picnic or click & collect from local businesses, then take a seat along the colourful tables set up along the high street. The perfect place to catch all the action and to soak in the patriotic atmosphere! What will you bring to the street party? *Please note, the consumption of alcohol isn't permitted at the Exeter Jubilee Street Party.

Uncle Tacko's Imaginarium

On the day, you'll find the Mighty Dom-Tink!” on Cathedral Green - Prom-Prom’s traditional try-your-strength machine. Soaring 20 feet into the sky, use the mighty hammer of destiny and whack the nobble to ring Uncle Tacko’s bell! Don't forget to stop by Uncle Tacko’s Imaginarium, a beautiful, colourful sideshow booth with entertainment for the entire family.

Shopping centres are joining in!

The Jubilee celebrations are stretching across to our fantastic shopping centres! Sit back and refresh with a drink at Princesshay Shopping Centre's Mojito Beach Bar, as you watch Exeter Jazz Orchestra perform in the heart of the shopping centre. Take part in thrilling family activities at Guildhall Shopping Centre, dance along to music in the square from Exeter Railway Band and dig into a scrumptious Street Food, available throughout the day.

There's a Beacon Lighting Celebration

Head down to Exeter Quay after the street party, to witness the Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting event, to mark the significant royal celebration. Expect a welcome from the Lord Mayor of Exeter at 21:30, followed by music from the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Band, the lighting of the beacon and finished with a performance from The Maynard School Choir. Click here to find out more!

Visit Exeter stand

Of course we couldn't go without mentioning that the Visit Exeter team will be exhibiting at Exeter's Jubilee Street Party! Visit our tent to find out all you need to know about Exeter this summer, unmissable competition prizes and a Jubilee face painter - we'll see you there!
