Isca Photographic Exhibition
Until 8th March, open 11am – 4pm (Thursday to Sunday only)
Discover Exeter’s past through two exhibitions featuring rare photographs from the Isca Photographic Collection: The Living Archive of Exeter’s Waterfront and Exeter Through the Lens. Revealing a century of change; the photographs offer a rare glimpse into life in our city – from changing streetscapes, society portraits, to the devastation of the 1942 Baedeker Raids and the city’s connection with the River Exe.
Silent Book Club

Looking to read more in 2026? Exeter’s free Silent Book Club has expanded to three events each month so now there's even more quality time to curl up with a good book. Join fellow bibliophiles for a relaxed evening of reading, socialising and optional drinks at Topsham Brewery and new venue, 12 Bar Music & Social.
Bill Douglas Cinema Museum
Exeter’s Bill Douglas Museum is a must-visit for anyone fascinated by film and moving image history – and best of all, it’s free to explore. Home to the UK’s leading collection in its field, the museum houses over 90,000 items, with more than 1,000 on display. As an accredited public museum and research facility at the University of Exeter, it offers a fascinating journey through cinema’s past.
Quayside Farmers Market

RAMM
Whether you’re seeking a family day out, quiet reflection, or creative spark, the winter months are a wonderful ideal time to explore Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM). Stroll around award-winning galleries filled with art, archaeology, and fascinating objects from around the world, alongside treasures telling Exeter’s own story. From ancient history to contemporary exhibitions, come and explore for free this month.
Red Coat Guided Tours
Exeter’s Red Coat Guided Tours are now on their winter tours programme but there's still lots of fascinating way to explore our city’s rich history, for free! Led by knowledgeable volunteer guides in their distinctive red coats, these tours run year-round and cover themes from Roman Exeter to medieval marvels, secret passages, and stories of rebellion. There's no need to book, simply turn up and join a walk through centuries of heritage. It’s the perfect opportunity to uncover Exeter’s hidden gems while enjoying an engaging, informative experience from the local experts.
Please note, the winter tours programme runs until 31st March 2026.
