The night takes the audience on a journey through rousing and timeless pop classics of the 70's, 80's 90's and beyond, iconic film themes, swing standards, classical favourites and get up and dance music. With a "last night of the Promz" style finale of famous flag waving anthems.
If you are looking for a fun guaranteed and feel good musical night out then a promz party is definitely the place to be.
The show is delivered in a style that encourages audience participation right from the first few bars of the opening number. It is lead by the earthy charm and boyish enthusiasm of Mike James; one of Britain's best and most enduring band leaders.
The Mike James Orchestra has performed for audiences everywhere, from their most recent tour of Europe to features on the BBC, ITV and Sky Television and their residencies at the world famous Blackpool Tower and the QE2, even finding time to feature in two Hollywood films along the way.
So if the audience does not instantly respond and join in with the proceedings, it is something of a rarity. A Mike James concert is one of those not to be missed nights of unforgettable music magic and just might be the happiest show on earth.
