Powderham invites you to experience the wonder of Christmas like never before.
From 1st December to 31st December, the historic castle and its beautiful grounds will be transformed into a sparkling festive spectacle, creating the perfect setting for families and friends to make magical memories this winter.
During the day, the Castle will open its doors for visitors to get their history fix with a festive twist. Creative workshops will run throughout the month, including wreath-making, slow-stitch bauble making, and willow weaving, where visitors can create a thoughtful handmade gift for someone special.
On select dates, visitors can also book a Festive Afternoon Tea, featuring a delicious selection of sandwiches, seasonal treats, and traditional Devonshire cream teas.
By night, marvel at dazzling lights and festive displays, enjoy the sound of Christmas music, and indulge in delicious seasonal treats.
The brand-new Winter Garden offers an immersive festive experience filled with lights, family entertainment, games, and much more. Guests will be greeted at the elf-guarded gates before stepping inside to discover a magical space where Father Christmas will also be roaming the garden, ready to hear children's Christmas wishes and even pose for an 'elfie! Visitors are free to come and go from the Winter Garden throughout their visit.
Inside the castle, steeped in centuries of history and adorned with seasonal décor, more festive surprises await. Whether exploring the grounds with a hot chocolate in hand or discovering hidden details within the castle itself, every moment promises to be filled with Christmas cheer.
Children under three and carers are admitted free, and dogs are also welcome, ensuring the whole family can enjoy the celebration together. Winter Garden tickets, Workshops, Afternoon Tea and Daytime Admission tickets are available to book at an additional cost.
Tickets are now on sale, and many families have already secured theirs for what promises to be one of the most memorable Christmas events of the season. Powderham looks forward to welcoming visitors for an unforgettable festive experience.
