Join us for a free lunchtime talk at Exeter Library; Failing Better: Reading and Performing Samuel Beckett

Laura Salisbury (Professor of Modern Literature and leading Beckett scholar) will be in conversation with Philip Robinson (Beckett actor and performer) about the life, work, and enduring influence of Nobel Prize-winning writer and playwright Samuel Beckett.

This free, welcoming talk offers a fascinating insight into Beckett's writing, performance, and legacy. It accompanies The Samuel Beckett Omnibus at Exeter Library; a performance presented by Living Room Theatre on Saturday 5 September.

About Laura Salisbury
Laura Salisbury is Professor of Modern Literature and Medical Humanities and a leading Samuel Beckett scholar. She is the author of Samuel Beckett: Laughing Matters, Comic Timing and served as President of the Samuel Beckett Society from 20202023. Her research explores modern literature, language, and the medical humanities.
