September marks the launch of the 2027 Exeter Novel Prize following a successful year with over 700 entries from around the world - an increase of more than a third.
We will gather to celebrate the start of the new submissions cycle which ends on January 31st 2027 with an Awards event in late Spring.
We have created a new category within the Exeter Novel Prize for the highest place entry from a writer who lives in an EX post code. This is to strengthen the association of the Exeter Novel Prize with its home city and the wider Devon community.
The EXcellence Award is possible due to the generous financial support of Exeter based Penguin author Orlando Murrin and the Clotted Crime group of Southwest crime writers .
