Silenzio and the Night bring a distinctly English strain of eccentric, wistful art-pop, blending literate songwriting with quietly adventurous arrangements. Morrissey- and Hanlon-tinged vocals sit against jangling guitars, intimate rhythms and a haunting violin and cello that threads through every track. There’s a gentle theatricality at play, with moments of bucolic calm giving way to darker, noirish moods and cinematic flourishes.
This special show marks the debut album release party for Harmonic Pull. Expect songs that feel both familiar and intriguingly off-kilter: Smiths-like propulsion, Blur-era intimacy, flashes of early Bowie theatricality, and atmospheric instrumental passages that drift into jazzy, moody territory. It’s music that rewards close listening-melancholic, melodic, and subtly bold.
FFO: The Divine Comedy, The Smiths, Blur, Scott Walker, early David Bowie
