Joel Munday
Violinist Joel Munday from Devon is swiftly building a career as a soloist and chamber musician and now performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. A dedicated proponent of music of our times in addition to the masterworks of old, Joel has had the privilege to work with composers including Peteris Vasks and Osvaldo Golijov. His mentors included Ani Schnarch, Daniel Rowland and Alina Ibragimova. In 2024, he was one of 11 musicians worldwide to receive the London Symphony Orchestras Conservatoire Scholarship. The 25/26 season marked Joels professional solo debut, performing Mozarts First Violin Concerto with the London Mozart Players. Other highlights include recitals with Julian Trevelyan and Sam Haywood, appearances at the Stift Festival and Two Moors Festival and performances of Philip Glass' Violin Concerto No.2 and Brahms' Double Concerto. In 2025, he was selected as a Tillett Debut Artist. He is also supported by the UK Artists Directory and Making Music.
