Emerging from Bristol’s vibrant jazz scene in 2000, Dave Betts brings a genre-defying sound that fuses jazz, Latin and funk into an electrifying live experience. A British drummer, multi-percussionist and composer, Betts is known for his innovative approach, combining drum kit, Latin percussion and multiple pedals to perform four percussion parts simultaneously.
With four studio albums and a live album recorded during a residency at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s, he has built a reputation for rhythmically rich, high-energy performances that push the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Alongside his performing career, he is also a respected educator, teaching percussion at leading UK institutions including King’s College Taunton and Sherborne School.
For this special event, Dave Betts will be joined by his collective, featuring Matt Hopkins, Daan Temmink and Mat Sibley, promising a dynamic and groove-driven performance not to be missed.
