Word Kitchen is honoured to have started running the Exeter Novel Prize from this year taking over from Cathie Hartigan who did a brilliant job.
We are pleased to say that there have been a record number of entries and the reading team has read over 7 million words over the last few months.
Our readers are from different generations and are writers, students of creative writing, eclectic readers and from a range of diverse backgrounds. We will be celebrating the winners, runners up and all the writers who were ready to trust us with their work on May 14th in the Rougemont Room at Exeter Library.
The entries come from around the UK and worldwide. We would like to thank the continued financial support of Exeter Writers.
Thanks too to literary agent Hellie Ogden from WME who has had the difficult task of creating the short list and choosing the winner.
Our two ambassadors Orlando Murrin and Fiona Williams have been supportive and great advocates for writers.
Do come and enjoy cake and refreshements as we raise a glass.
