Symbols of Death: The Emotionalisation of Graphic Symbols with Moth Studios (Nikki Salkeld and Ashley Rudolph)
In this free workshop led by artist-designers Moth Studios, you'll discuss and create a range of pictorial signs which can articulate and communicate nuanced attitudes to death, dying, grief and the afterlife. These may include the emotionalisation of personal grief as well as collective solidarity.
This workshop aims to encourage us to talk about death with greater confidence. If we can contemplate our own mortality, it may not only change the way we die, but more importantly, it helps us to embrace how we want to live life now. To live life well.
16 + A warm welcome to all, no design or drawing experience necessary.
This is a free event but spaces are limited so please do book in advance. The workshop will take place in the Rougemont Room on the 2nd floor of the Library, with access via lift and stairs.
