Grayson Perry-inspired Ceramic Vase Workshop with artist Scotty Gillespie

About

Inspired by Grayson Perry’s bold, story-rich ceramics in our current exhibition Grayson Perry: Aspects of Myself, this hands-on workshop invites you to bring your own creativity to life on a ceramic vase. Guided by artist Scotty Gillespie, you’ll explore a variety of surface decoration techniques – from intricate stencilling and painterly underglazes to layered textures and bold graphic elements. Whether you want to tell a personal story, make a statement, or simply revel in colour and pattern, you’ll have the tools and guidance to create a unique ceramic piece to take home. No previous ceramic experience needed, just an open mind and a willingness to play with clay’s infinite possibilities. There will be a lunch break during this workshop. Please bring something with you, or the Cafe at RAMM will be open on the day.
