We will follow the seasons creating a personal collection of illustrations documenting the herbs, vegetables and flowers that have particular significance to us as individuals.
We will be using drawing materials such as sanguine and graphite pencils as well as watercolour and will be honing our practical skills and techniques exploring the following
- Observation
- Texture
- Line
- Colour
- Proportion
- Volume
- Light and shadow

We will also look at Botanical Illustration within the context of art histories
In the final week of the of the course we will take some time to collectively share our illustrations and stories
This course is suitable for those who have no previous experience as well as those who want to expand their existing skills.
