When the Sun Sets

About

“When the Sun Sets” follows the lives of a small Devon community during World War Two. Small but mighty, the village is tight knit. Everyone knows everyone and loves them like family, especially Tommy. As the war intensifies the community faces new obstacles: conflict, the arrival of evacuees, recruitment and separation from loved ones. From soldiers to school children, mothers to brothers, families to a farmer and his horse there is not a corner of the village unaffected. Nevertheless, safe in their belief that the war will soon be over, and eager to do their part, they take these challenges in their stride. However, as time passes and all is not what it first seemed; the community is forced to reckon with the fact that when the world is at war, there is always a price to pay.
