Join us to explore the extraordinary properties of ordinary plants.
In Devon we are lucky to live near some of the most beautiful countryside the UK has to offer. But how often do we stop to think about the nature that is right on our doorstep?
This workshop takes a moment to look at the creative possibilities of the most ordinary plants. You will try out paints made from local trees and garden vegetables, learn to make string (or cord) from stinging nettles and dandelions and draw with charcoal made from twigs.
Finally, working individually or in pairs, you will make woven hanging decorations using Devons natural fibres and cordage made during the session. You'll weave in strips of fabric and paper with our messages to nature and embellish them with seed pods and other natural 'beads.
Suitable for ages 4+.
