About

Bookbag presents: a poetry writing workshop with Sirisha Damarla

Poet Sirisha Damarla, host of Bookbags Open Mic Night, leads a creative session for emerging young poets and anyone curious about poetry or creative writing.

The workshop will explore what makes a poem work, with tips and prompts to help you develop your own writing. Those who already write are welcome to bring along their poems! By the end of the session, everyone will have created a poem and had the opportunity to share it with the group.

Grown ups, this is a drop-off workshop so you're welcome to relax in our caf with a coffee, or step out and return at the end of the workshop.
