This year it’s more important than ever to give back to our local communities & charities to help those in need and spread the Christmas cheer! As a part of National Give Back Tuesday on 1st December, we’ve highlighted ways that you can give a helping hand in our city this festive season…
Purchase a ticket to a future show or workshop
Give your special someone something to look forward to in 2021! Why not purchase a ticket to a local drama performance at Exeter Northcott, Exeter Barnfield or Cygnet Theatre, to a music performance or workshop at Exeter Phoenix or for something unique like a Creative Wellbeing Day at Devon Sculpture Park! Take a look at our cultural organisations page for further inspiration...
Donate to a charity
'Tis the season to be jolly and give back to our local community! Donate warm clothing to the Princesshay Giving Hub to help the homeless, make a donation of any amount to Force Cancer Charity & Hospicecare or donate to the Exeter Food Bank! There are many other incredible charities in Exeter that need your help this festive season, take a look at our Virtual Christmas Market page for more information.

Buy a gift card as a Christmas present
The opportunities for gift cards in Exeter are endless! Give a shout out to your favourite place
Sometimes, the littlest things can make a huge difference. Tried a delicious takeaway recently? Let your friends on Facebook know where you got it from! Purchased a lovely gift for a friend? Post an Instagram story and tag the place you bought it from! Simply just telling your friends and family about a recent purchase can really help a small business!
There are plenty of other ways to give back to our community this time of year. Whilst you’re shopping at our Virtual Christmas Market, visit our local community page and our cultural organisations page to find out ways you can help!
