Arvon at Home: Family Live Guest Reading with Joseph Coelho

About

Now more than ever people young and old need stories – to engage, to entertain, to nourish, and to help us make sense of what we’re living through. And so as part of our Arvon at Home programme we are bringing you special Live Guest Readings for Families. Some of our most popular writers for readers of all ages will be reading their stories live and answering your questions (these can be emailed in advance or sent via the Zoom chat box during the event).

This Family Live Guest Reading is with Joseph Coelho on Tuesday 22 December at 4:00 pm GMT. Joseph Coelho is a multi-award winning children’s author and poet. His debut children’s collection Werewolf Club Rules is published by Frances Lincoln and was the winner of the CLPE CLiPPA Poetry Award. His collection for older readers, Overheard In A Tower Block, went on to numerous long and short-listings for various awards including the Carnegie Medal. His picture book If All The World Were… illustrated by Allison Colpoys won the Independent Bookshop Week, Book Award. He wrote and presented Teach Poetry – a 10-part BBC online series that aims to make the writing of poetry fun and accessible to all.

The reading and interactive Q&A will be hosted on Zoom. This is a live event and will not be recorded.

We are more committed than ever to helping writers find inspiration, and to make space for their own creativity, no matter the setting. So join us from the comfort of your sofa and listen to writers share their work, the stories behind their work, and invaluable writing advice directly from their own desk (or maybe the kitchen table).
