We visited Comptoir Libanais so we could try out the Autumn/Winter menu. It is situated within the Guildhall Shopping Centre located right in the heart of the city centre, making it an ideal location for a quick lunch whilst at work or a lovely evening location after a day shopping. As soon as you walk through the glass fronted doors into the restaurant, the bright colourful atmosphere hits you alongside with the vast amount of vibrant accessories you can purchase for that upcoming sunshine holiday.

We visited early on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised to receive a warm welcome from the friendly & knowledgeable staff and to witness such a steady flow of people visiting the restaurant throughout our visit.

Another pleasant surprise was the number of starters and mezze options for all! We chose the Mezze sharing platter and were not disappointed. It was a dish full of flavour and extraordinary colour with Hommos, baba ghanui, tabbouleh, falafel, natural labne, cheese samboussek, flatbread & the most colourful pickles we have ever seen.

Presented next were our main courses, we had spiced lamb Kofta – grilled minced lamb, herbs, peppers, onion & spices served with a Comptoir salad & vermicelli rice along with Falafel and a Fattoush Salad – lettuce, tomato, spring onion, mint & parsley, pita crisps & pomegranate molasses dressing. The colour and taste created within both of these dishes left us extremely satisfied. Top tip: order alternative dishes to your friends so you can try a bit of everything!

The friendly service as soon as you step through the door and the true delicacies of the Middle-East carried through, truly make Comptoir Libanais a great place for any occasion.
