Katherine Miles Sculpture Exhibition

About

Nature inspired willow sculptures by Devon artist Katherine Miles to be exhibited at RHS Garden Rosemoor this Autumn, 17 August – 1 November 2026

Inspired by the ancient pathways, passing livestock and the beautiful colours and forms of trees, lichen and fauna, each of the sculptural pieces created by Katherine Miles have been carefully selected to reflect this time of year near her home in Dartmoor.

Using willow sourced from Somerset, Katherine also uses foraged items found across the Devon countryside; burnt gorse, dried ivy branches, lichen, and driftwood; for sculptural detailing that helps bring the pieces alive, adding a mystical quality.

Katherine says 'Creating a sculpture is like life-drawing for me, only instead of using a pencil I draw with willow. It's a meditative process, that provides me with a sense of peace and wellbeing. I feel that each sculpture is successful when I begin to see the character and spirit of the piece starting to come alive.'

The eighteen life-like works on show include roe and red deer, hares, sheep and an otter, fox and highland cow. The exhibition is open to visitors between normal garden opening hours, 10am – 6pm, from 17 August to 1 November. Garden admission is required but Members go free.

All of the pieces exhibited are available for purchase.

Special seasonal prices have been introduced for daytime garden admission so if you book in advance online, you save. Remember too that well-behaved dogs on short, fixed leads are welcome at RHS Rosemoor every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so you have an opportunity for an inspiring dog walk!
