About

Monkology Quartet brings the bold, playful genius of Thelonious Monk to life in a fresh Organ Quartet setting. Celebrating Monk’s fearless creativity and unmistakable swagger, the band reimagines classic compositions such as ’Round Midnight, Evidence, Nutty and Bye-Ya, alongside carefully chosen standards associated with Monk’s career.

Featuring Martin Jenkins (organ), Mike Outram (guitar), Will Paley (saxophone) and Preston Prince (drums), Monkology Quartet is formed by four highly respected UK jazz musicians whose combined experience spans leading jazz venues, major recordings, and international collaborations.

Together, they deliver joyful, edgy and deeply swinging performances that honour Monk’s eccentric brilliance while making the music feel vibrantly alive.

FFO: Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis
